I read a lot of business and marketing books, especially those on how to use social media for business. And as someone who helps authors build their online platform using social media, I get asked a lot about Pinterest. It's a site that I've been talking about all year long, so I'm thrilled to finally have a solid marketing book I can recommend that focuses on Pinterest. This is an excellent book for all experience levels: whether you've been using Pinterest for months or you're just getting sta [...]

Did you know that a day has only 24 hours? It’s a lesson I’m trying to learn, and that’s why I love Pinterest Power by Jason Miles and Karen Lacey. Rather than wasting time learning by trial and error—and probably still missing things— I am learning the ins and outs of Pinterest from this book. And now, instead of feeling vaguely lost among the pin boards, I’m having fun. I’m beginning to understand the joy of curating lovely boards and of organizing ideas visually.Pinterest Power: [...]

As a Christian writer and blogger, I could tell that Pinterest could be harnessed as a great ministry tool. I just couldn't quite get it to work the way I wanted. Pinterest Power has been a huge help! I now have a clear understanding of how to connect with my readers through the power of great graphics and pins. The book will probably be most useful to those bloggers and businesses with a product to sell or DIY tutorials, but I was able to glean a lot of great information from the book. There ar [...]

Pinterest Power is book to help you market your online or offline business. As a regular Jane with an average brain, I did learn new things about Pinterest and how to connect to my business. Although I feel the way it was written was hard for me to understand. I did try some of the techniques at the peak interest on Pinterest but no sales yet. It is has only been a week. I found that The Idiots Guide to Pinterest Marketing was a much better way of learning new things to do with Pinterest.

I wanted to learn how to effectively use Pinterest to market my Etsy store, and to drive traffic to my review blog. This book was very helpful in learning the ins and outs of Pinterest, how to effectively set up pinboards and how to get things seen.I've already noticed an increase in traffic to my Etsy store due to Pinterest, and I've even had a sale directly due to a repin - so I'm calling this a success.Definitely a useful read.

As an ardent Pinterest fan, I was excited to learn about its further uses beyond an online collection (storage/ e-hoarding ;) of ideas and inspiration. Best for pinners who understand basics of Pinterest. Likely to read again to to take time to apply suitable principles. Was fascinating to discover myriad of ways Pinterest's potential can be tapped

Well thought out bookThe book is a bit dated as the latest reference is from 2012. But regardless it is packed with tons of useful information and tips. The book flows very well and is well written. It is easy to follow but could use some more details and examples. Overall an update on the current information would really make a difference.

Super basic book that is already quite outdated. I can't ding the book for being outdated. If you know nothing about Pinterest, this book will certainly get you started. If you already know the basics, I'd skip this and listen to the Oh So Pinteresting podcast instead.

This book is a valuable and insightful tool. The case studies and overall style of the book are great. It is easy to use and understand. I learned a lot from this and it left me feeling energized and enthusiastic about the many ways that Pinterest can enrich and compliment almost any endeavor.

If you're thinking about using Pinterest to market your business (big or small), this book will guide you step-by-step on what you need to do to be successful. A lot of good advice. Have a notebook and pen handy when reading.

I just learned today (11/14) that I won this through a BurdaStyle Comment to Win last week! Can't wait to read it!!

A should-read book on social media for the knowledge worker, manager, executive, or entrepreneur.

Jason Miles and Karen Lacey wrote a great book on how small businesses and non-profits can use Pinterest. I'll refer it to all of my clients.

    14. Michelle's Book

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. This book cover is on my Pinterest board and my blog, Michelle Dragalin’s Journey.

A lot of interesting ideas but the authors try to make it sound as though Pinterest is the be-all and end-all of social media marketing.
