      The author is a friend of mine, and a fantastically talented writer. Fantastic is an appropriate word, because each of these collected short stories shimmers with something otherworldly. God’s wife discloses what she has in common with the discarded wives of other Great Men. The devil visits a woman in her living room and teaches her what it means to be tempted.
